W.D. & H.O. Wills (Australian Issue). Capstan Cigarettes 'Prominent Australian and English Cricketers' 1907/08 second/ reissue. Full set of eight cards numbered 66-73, players' name captions printed in red/ brown. Slight rounding to corners of Jones, Crawford and Humphries. Staining to verso of the Fane card (no. 68), otherwise in good/ very good condition

Three cards with red borders branded 'Capstan' of Carter, Rhodes and Jones. Four cards with blue borders branded 'Vice-Regal' of O'Connor, Hopkins, Fry and Armstrong. Players' names printed to the image inside the frame. Also two cards from the similar 'Australian and South African Cricketers' 1910 series of Whitehead (South Africa) and Ransford (Victoria), both with red borders, players' names printed within the border, branding to verso for 'Vice-Regal'. Rounding to corners and slight wear to edges, some wear and staining to verso, otherwise in good condition. Qty 9

Nos. 1, 2, 6, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 24, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 37, 39, 44, 47, 48, 50, 51, 53, 54, 56 and 57 branded to verso 'Vice Regal' with red backs, the remainder branded 'Capstan' with blue backs. Nos. 1-50 are titled to verso 'A Series of 50', nos. 51-59 titled 'A Series of 59'. Very slight rounding and wear to some corners, small wear to the front of no. 34 (Pearson), small crease to one corner of no. 44 (Warner), small crease to no. 54 (Vine).
