Titled in white within shield to lower right corner 'Yorkshire County Cricket Team' with names of players printed in white to lower border. Players featured are Whitehead, Rhodes, Tunnicliffe, Wilkinson, Hirst, Jackson, Hawke (Cpt), Smith, Hunter, Denton, Haigh and Brown. The postcard measures 9.75"x7". 'The Johnnie Walker Test Match Scoreboard', Brighton 1930. Six sepia and mono postcards showing the scoreboard during the series with crowds gathered to view the score. There are three postcards showing the score at various points during the third Test at Headingley, the first shows Australia 500-5, Bradman 330, the second shows England batting and 212-5, Hammond 61 and the third shows England in reply all out for 391 and Australia 95-3, rain stopped play. The match drawn. Two postcards are from the 5th Test at the Oval, the first showing England 405 all out and Australia 695 all out, Bradman 232, the second showing Australia 695 all out and England 405 all out in their first innings, Australia 24-1 in their second innings and the third one shows England all out in their second innings for 251. Australia winning by an innings and 39 runs. Plus a general view of the front at Brighton showing the scoreboard with masses of people looking at the result of the match at Leeds in the third Test. In this famous final Test, Don Bradman playing in his final Test match needed just four runs to take his aggregate to 7,000 runs and his average to 100. He was given a standing ovation walking out to the wicket, Yardley shook his hand and the England team and the crowd gave him 'three cheers'. He then faced one ball from Eric Hollies before being bowled playing forward to the next ball, therefore finishing with a Test average of 99.94

As a schoolboy at Repton, Crawford made his debut for Surrey in 1904, shortly after leaving school in 1905 and having taken 44 wickets at 16.93, he was on his way to South Africa with the M.C.C. team. A quarrel in the middle of the 1909 season abruptly ended his career with Surrey. He quit England and went to Australia where he played for South Australia. He reappeared for Surrey following the war. In 1914 he scored 354 in 330 minutes batting for an Australian XI v XV of South Canterbury, sharing a stand of 298 in 69 minutes! with Victor Trumper
